Mala Ocean Tavern, Chefs Mark and Judy Ellman, and Chef Ben Klein present an amazing beer pairing experience on Tuesday November 16, 2010. Gary Fish, Deschutes Brewery Owner and President, will be attending this dinner with his wife, Carol.

Five course dinner will start at 7pm for $59 a person plus tax and gratuity

Menu as follows
1st Course: 
Pumpkin Ale Soup-Jubel ale
Vanilla Brown Butter, Spiced Toasted Pumpkin Seeds & Chive Oil

2nd Course: 
Markea Blue Prawn & Ahi Carpaccio-Mirror Pond Pale Ale
Roasted Ramp Cream, Ponzu Truffle Emulsion, Kamuela Cucumbers & Lavosh

3rd Course: 
Sous Vide Braised All Natural Beef Short Ribs-Obsidian Stout
Quinoa Cakes, Local Baby Carrots & Baby Turnips, Obsidian Stout Jus & Piquillo Pepper Coulis

4th Course: 
Organic Vegan Salad-GreenLakes Organic Ale
Assorted Local Organic Vegetables & Greens, Pea Shoots, Hearts of Palm, Toasted Mac Nuts & Cider Ale Vinaigrette

Dessert Course: 
Porter Infused Island Style German Chocolate Cake-Black Butte Porter

    Where do you get ramps this time of year? Do they grow year round somewhere on Maui? If so, do tell!!! This event looks delicious. I love beer.
