Volcano Winery announces new Pinot Grigio

The slopes of the Big Island are well known for the hot lava that is currently spewing out of Kilauea, Hawaii’s active volcano, but not many of us know about the winery that has been growing grapes and making wine since 1993. Volcano Winery just bottled a new Pinot Grigio from winemaker Tim Kenny, as well as winning awards this year with their “Infusion” wine, a new twist on an old favorite, the honey and tea wine.

The eggplant is phenomenal! Highlights: Spinach, sesame oil, blanched carrots, sauteed peppers and mushroom, cilantro and green onion.
My sister requested ramen tonight. I styled it out. But everyone wanted something special, i complied.

Oh my. Chef Gerard Riversade came by and said do what u can with it. Nuts nougat and champagne is fantastic. U dont have to be french to get it. Such understated french elegance here. The bubbly is a perfect finish to the stimulating conversation on food orgasims and aphrodesiacs all evening w frenchman jean pierre lemoine.

This domain st francois is perfectly paired w a turnover of venison pate with onion jam. I love pate.

Tapas. It’s a word that begs to roll of your tongue and boomerang back morsels of deliciousness.

The tapas menu changes weekly at Bistro Casanova, with service beginning at 3pm. Last week, my mom and I indulged in bacon wrapped scallops with a vinaigrette reduction. Ah, Taste of Maui “research.”

Yes I am really into spinach, i am eating it with everything. Topped w a pinch of pecorino. Pan roasted the breasts were not perfect, a little dry. Still hella good, just not perfect. I played w the heat unsuccesfully. Made a wine reduc. w chardonnay and a little butter to improve. Peppers and carrots were orange. Quinoa for grain.
